about

Three Rows of Teeth is about travelling in an airship which is then ripped apart by massive church monsters with mouths.

There is no subtext. It is not an analogy for something deeper and more meaningful. It is just about airships and church monsters.

No, I don't know exactly what a church monster is either.

Musically it's a sort of ABA thing, with an upbeat middle section based around what I reckon is a very good riff.

Kinda manic, kinda weird, it sets the tone for the album.

lyrics

It got us halfway to heaven,
Lighter than air and stranger than fiction
But then halfway to heaven
The clouds opened up and swallowed us in.

In the bowels of the clouds, were the strangest of creatures.
In the mouths of those birds
Three rows of teeth ripped the balloon apart and sent us
Tumbling, tumbling down.

Clock tower hands
Steeple for a horn
This nightmare come to life to feed

And this world
Conjured from half eaten dreaming
Scratches out a warning
Don't fly with demons
